Jun Matsui Documentary

Poster series for Andre Ferezini’s documentary Jun Matsui, a short film about the work, the lifestyle and the legacy of one of the world's most prestigious tattoo artists and his influence within underground subcultures. Jun uses only black ink on his work, and his drawings are always remarkably graphic e abstract. The series of posters was inspired by the art of Rafael Assef and depicts close-ups of skins tattooed by Jun, creating abstract geometric forms at first sight, but revealing pores, spots and body hair on a closer look.
